  • Consume regular, nutritious meals.
  • Spend time with people that make you feel at ease and confident in yourself.
  • Avoid using drugs or alcohol to cope with stress.
  • Keep in touch with other expectant parents so that you can encourage one another.
  • Find some time each week to do something which you enjoy, improves your mood or helps you to relax.
  • Meditation or mindfulness – either through a class or an online app.
  • Let family and friends help you with housework, shopping etc.
  • Accept aid when it is offered to you, and ask for it when you need it.
