Randomized Trial
In a U.S. trial of 220 adults with sciatica of less than 90 days, those referred to four weeks of physical therapy improved more on a disability score at six months than those given usual care, and the difference was still present at one year. That program was delivered in person and included hands-on manual therapy, which a video visit can't provide.
