Online physiotherapy session with multiple patients via video calls.

Quick Answer

No one online physiotherapy platform in India is best for everyone. The right choice depends on three things: whether you need live 1-on-1 video sessions or a recorded exercise programme, whether you may need hands-on care at a clinic or at home later, and how much you want to pay. For an online physiotherapy consultation with no travel, look at fully online services like Resolve360 and Fix Health. If you might need in-person care, look at providers with clinics or home visits, such as ReLiva, CB Physiotherapy, FlexifyMe, Healyos, Portea and Physiva. If you want to pick a named physiotherapist and see their fee first, Apollo 24|7 lets you do that.

Live sessions vs recorded plans: what you are paying for

“Online physiotherapy” can mean two very different things, and the price difference often comes from this:

Live 1-on-1 Video Session
₹1,499

Per session at Resolve360

A physiotherapist sees you on video in real time. They ask about your symptoms, watch you move, correct your technique and adjust your plan.

Recorded Home-Exercise Plan
₹499

At Resolve360. Not a live session.

You follow pre-recorded exercise videos or an app programme on your own. There may be check-ins, but there is no live session each time.

At Resolve360, the first consultation is ₹0. The ₹499 plan is a recorded home-exercise plan with video demonstrations. It is not a live session. A live 1-on-1 video session costs ₹1,499 per session. If you compare Resolve360 with a provider’s per-session fee, compare against the ₹1,499 live price.

For how a live session runs step by step, see what happens in an online physiotherapy session.

Things to check: whether there’s a ReLiva clinic near you, and the Tele Physio fee.

Types of online physiotherapy platforms in India

  • Fully online services (Resolve360, Fix Health). Assessment, treatment and follow-up all happen on video. Good if you can’t or don’t want to travel.
  • Hybrid providers (ReLiva, CB Physiotherapy, FlexifyMe, Healyos). Online sessions with clinics behind them. Useful if hands-on treatment might be needed.
  • Home-first providers (Portea, Physiva). A physiotherapist visits your home, and online sessions are mainly for follow-ups.
  • Marketplaces (Apollo 24|7). You choose an individual practitioner, and fees and follow-up depend on them.
  • App-led programmes (PhysioMantra). A daily exercise programme in an app, with video consultations.

Is online physiotherapy right for you?

Online physiotherapy often works well when treatment is mainly exercise, education and activity advice. Examples:

In-person care may be better if you need hands-on (manual) therapy, wound care, close supervision because of a high risk of falls, or equipment that can’t be used at home.

Get urgent medical help, not an online physiotherapy session, if you have:

  • Pain, tingling, weakness or numbness in both legs
  • Loss of feeling around your genitals or anus
  • Changes in bladder or bowel control
  • Chest pain
  • Back pain that started after a serious accident or fall
  • Fever or feeling generally unwell with back pain, or severe pain that starts suddenly or gets worse quickly

Based on NHS guidance on back pain. This guide is general information, not a diagnosis.

Online vs in-clinic physiotherapy

Not sure whether to choose virtual care or visit a physical clinic? Here is a quick breakdown of the key differences in assessment, treatment, and convenience to help you decide which approach is safer and more effective for your condition.

Online In-Clinic or Home Visit
Assessment History, watching you move on camera, guided self-tests Adds a hands-on physical examination
Treatment Exercise, education, activity and posture advice Can add manual therapy and equipment
Convenience No travel, flexible timing Travel, or waiting for a home visit
Best suited to Exercise-based rehab and self-management Conditions that need hands-on care or close supervision

Does online physiotherapy work?

For many musculoskeletal conditions, research suggests live (real-time) online rehabilitation can work about as well as face-to-face care:

  • A systematic review and meta-analysis of 13 studies (1,520 participants) found real-time telerehabilitation “appears to be effective and comparable to conventional methods” for improving physical function and pain in musculoskeletal conditions. Cottrell et al., Clinical Rehabilitation, 2017
  • A 2022 review of 10 randomised trials in older adults with musculoskeletal conditions found real-time telerehabilitation improved physical performance about as much as face-to-face treatment. The authors noted few low-risk-of-bias studies, and most trials involved knee replacement patients. Jirasakulsuk et al., JMIR Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies, 2022

These findings are about live online rehabilitation. They don’t automatically apply to recorded or self-guided programmes, and results vary from person to person.

Online physiotherapy prices in India

Few platforms publish full price lists. When comparing, check whether a price is for a live session, a recorded plan or a package.

Pricing Model Platforms Published on 20 October 2026
Published live-session price Resolve360 ₹1,499 per live 1-on-1 video session
Published recorded plan Resolve360 ₹499 recorded home-exercise plan (not a live session)
Free first consultation Resolve360 ₹0
Fee set by each practitioner Apollo 24|7 About ₹400–₹1,100 per online consult in listings checked
Quote after the consultation Fix Health Plan price depends on condition and duration
Not publicly verified CB Physiotherapy, FlexifyMe, Healyos, Physiva, PhysioMantra, Portea, ReLiva Ask the provider

To estimate the total cost, multiply the per-session fee by the number of sessions your physiotherapist recommends, and ask for that number at the first consultation. For comparison with in-person care, see in-clinic and home-visit physiotherapy costs in India.

How to choose an online physiotherapy platform

  1. Check who will treat you. Ask for the physiotherapist’s name, qualification (for example BPT or MPT) and registration. In India, physiotherapists are among the professions covered by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021, and enrol on the Allied and Healthcare Professionals registry.
  2. Ask whether sessions are live. Find out whether you get live 1-on-1 video each time, or a recorded plan with occasional check-ins.
  3. Get the full cost. Ask what the first fee covers, how many sessions are usually needed, and the refund policy.
  4. Ask about follow-up. How often is your plan reviewed, and by the same physiotherapist?
  5. Plan for in-person care. If you might need hands-on treatment, choose a provider with a clinic or home visits near you, or ask how referrals work.
  6. Check privacy. Ask where your videos, reports and notes are stored.
  7. Read reviews on independent sites as well as the provider’s own website.

Using an Indian online physiotherapy platform from outside India

Several providers offer online physiotherapy, virtual physical therapy, and telehealth PT to patients abroad, including NRIs. Before booking, check the time zone, the currency, and whether the physiotherapist can legally treat patients where you live. Rules differ by country. For patients in the US, Resolve360 runs a separate online physical therapy service for the US, priced in US dollars. For other countries, see our guide to online physical therapy platforms in India for patients living abroad.

Start With a ₹0 Free Consultation

Get a personalised 1-on-1 live video consultation with a physiotherapist. Live sessions are available for ₹1,499, with a recorded home-exercise plan for ₹499.

Your physiotherapist will assess your needs and guide you on the next appropriate step.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on what you need. For fully online, live 1-on-1 sessions, look at Resolve360 or Fix Health. If you may need a clinic later, look at ReLiva, CB Physiotherapy, FlexifyMe or Healyos. For home visits, look at Portea or Physiva. To choose a named physiotherapist, use Apollo 24|7. Resolve360 publishes this guide, so compare each provider’s details yourself.

Published prices vary. At Resolve360, the first consultation is ₹0, a recorded home-exercise plan is ₹499, and a live 1-on-1 video session is ₹1,499 per session. On Apollo 24|7, practitioners in the listings we checked charged about ₹400–₹1,100 per online consult. Most other providers quote after the first consultation.

At some providers. Resolve360’s first consultation is ₹0. Other providers’ first-visit terms change often, so check before booking and ask what the free consultation includes. Sometimes it’s a full assessment, and sometimes it’s a short call to discuss a plan.

Both exist. Live sessions mean a physiotherapist watches you and corrects you in real time. Recorded plans are exercise videos you follow on your own. At Resolve360, ₹1,499 buys a live 1-on-1 session and ₹499 buys a recorded plan. Always ask which one a price covers.

Yes, several providers have a physiotherapy app. Resolve360 and FlexifyMe have apps on iOS and Android. PhysioMantra has a Google Play app with exercise videos, and CB Physiotherapy mentions an app for home exercises. An app is useful for following exercises between sessions, but it doesn’t replace an assessment by a physiotherapist.

Yes. Assessment, exercise prescription and follow-ups can all be done over video. A physiotherapist may still advise an in-person examination, hands-on treatment or imaging if your symptoms need it.

For many musculoskeletal conditions, research suggests live online rehabilitation can be about as effective as face-to-face care for pain and physical function (Cottrell et al., 2017). The evidence is about live sessions, and individual results vary.

Often, yes, for common back pain and sciatica without warning signs. Get urgent medical help instead if you have weakness or numbness in both legs, numbness around the genitals or anus, changes in bladder or bowel control, or pain after a serious accident.

It’s widely used for exercise-based rehab after procedures such as knee replacement or ACL reconstruction, once your surgeon allows it. Wound checks and some hands-on treatment still need in-person care.

Often, if they can exercise safely at home, ideally with someone nearby. A 2022 review found live telerehabilitation helped older adults’ physical performance. People at high risk of falls may be safer with home visits.

With online physiotherapy at home, the physiotherapist guides you over video and nobody visits. With a home visit, a physiotherapist comes to your house and can give hands-on treatment. Portea and Physiva focus on home visits. Resolve360 and Fix Health are online only.

Usually not. You need a phone or laptop with a camera, a stable internet connection and some floor space. Most programmes use bodyweight exercises, household items or a resistance band.

Ask for their full name, degree (such as BPT or MPT) and registration details. In India, physiotherapists are covered by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021, which has a national enrolment registry. A good provider will share these details when you ask.

Some providers say they serve patients abroad. Check the time zone, the currency, and whether the physiotherapist can legally treat patients in your country. Resolve360 runs a separate service for patients in the US.

It depends on your policy. Ask your insurer whether teleconsultations with a physiotherapist are covered and what invoice they need.

I came across a Resolve360 ad and decided to give them a try for my knee pain. I contacted them, and their team got in touch with me and explained everything clearly. I had my online physiotherapy session with Dr. Sandeep, and I had a really good experience. He was patient, friendly, and took the time to understand my pain and daily routine before suggesting exercises. He explained each exercise properly and showed me how to do the movements correctly. I could also ask questions during the session, which made things much easier. I really liked the convenience of doing the sessions from home. I didn’t have to travel to a clinic, and the one-on-one sessions felt personal and comfortable. The follow-up sessions were also helpful and kept me motivated to stay consistent with the exercises. A special thanks to Dr. Sandeep for being so supportive and easy to talk to. He made the whole process feel simple and comfortable. Overall, I’m happy with my experience with Resolve360 and would recommend them to anyone looking for convenient online physiotherapy.

I am currently recovering from ACL reconstruction surgery, and choosing the Resolve360 video rehabilitation platform has been one of the best decisions for my recovery journey. When I joined the platform, I was not only recovering from surgery but was also suffering from severe back pain that significantly limited my mobility. Surprisingly, after just two sessions, I experienced noticeable relief in my back pain, which gave me the confidence to continue my rehabilitation. What I appreciate the most is that every exercise is carefully tailored to my specific condition, recovery stage, and individual needs. The structured rehabilitation plan has kept me consistent and motivated. Without this platform, I don't think I would have had such a well-organized approach to my recovery. A special thanks to Dr. Diksha for her exceptional expertise. She has an incredible ability to understand the root cause of pain and provide effective solutions, even through remote consultations. Beyond her clinical skills, she is incredibly empathetic, patient, and motivating. She genuinely listens, understands what you're going through, and encourages you throughout the recovery process, making even the most challenging phases feel manageable. Her guidance and positive attitude have been invaluable to my recovery. I would also like to appreciate my Care Manager, Ms. Aditi, for her outstanding support. She is extremely proactive and dedicated to ensuring everything runs smoothly. Whether it's reminding me to schedule my diet consultation or reassessment sessions, handling last-minute rescheduling, or assisting with payments, she manages every aspect effortlessly. She is always responsive and just a chat away whenever I need help. I highly recommend Resolve360 to anyone looking for a personalized, structured, and professionally managed rehabilitation program. The combination of expert physiotherapy and exceptional customer support has made my recovery journey much smoother and more reassuring.

The Only Solution That Found My Root Cause and Delivered Real Recovery For years, I was trapped in a frustrating cycle, suffering from debilitating back pain and a persistent knee injury. I had seen countless specialists—various physiotherapists and chiropractors—but none of them could provide lasting relief or truly get to the heart of my problems. I was ready to give up. Thankfully, Dr. Apoorva and Dr. Asish insisted I join Resolve 360 for a fresh start on my recovery journey, and it was the best decision I could have made. The true breakthrough came from Dr. David. His diagnostic skill is exceptional; during our dedicated one-on-one video call sessions, he was able to accurately find and address the root cause of both my back pain and knee instability. For the first time, I felt like I wasn't just treating symptoms, but actually correcting the underlying issues. The progress has been incredible. My initial back and knee pain are vastly improved, and Resolve 360 continues to help me, focusing now on making my muscles strong to ensure long-term stability and health. The one-on-one format is the key—it ensures I receive personalized attention, correct technique, and real-time adjustments tailored only to me. If you have tried multiple avenues without success, I highly recommend Resolve 360. Their expert team, especially Dr. David, Dr. Apoorva, and Dr. Asish, offers a level of insight and dedicated care that truly resolves problems. This service is a game-changer!

I am suffering from heel pain for the last few years and the physiotherapy sessions provided by resolve360 have helped me a lot. The best thing about resolve360 is the flexibility they offer. I had sessions both early in the morning and evening depending upon my schedule. All the doctors on their panel are excellent and are always willing to go extra mile and give more than 100%. They do not prescribe any short cuts and focus on resolving the problem from the root cause instead of promising you any magic pill. I will recommend everyone to give it a try if they are facing any issues related to pain or mobility and is in need of physiotherapy.

I consulted many Ortho and Joint surgeons. I also tried physiotherapy treatment for 2 months in my local place. But no results. I stopped my regular surgeries and was very depressed, worried about my illness. I searched for online option. I came across Resolve 360. Right from my first consultation, assessment session whole team of doctors from Resolve 360 helped me very kindly and patiently. I started getting relief in my first week of physiotherapy sessions. Now after 10 weeks I am completely relieved from my pain. I started doing all my routine surgeries and also strength training. I am very satisfied and happy with whole team. I am very thankful to all team members of Resolve 360 for helping me to come out of my illness and rejoining my work which is my passion and only earning source for my family. Thank you all especially Dr.Ankita , I will be always greatful for your help.
